Media Crossover
The question for this blog 4 is: What are the challenges and opportunities for print publications like magazine and newspapers when they try to cross over to the internet?
The challenges for the print publication will be a bit difficult posting on the internet. It is like we would not be able to go to the store and purchase a newspaper that is decent organized or has ads that we could look through.
The concern that may cause the people is reading online and keeping up to date with the news. Most of the people usually go over CNN.com or their local news, instead of the newspaper website. It requires password and would everyone remember their password, or some of them requires to pay to be able to read them.
But at the same time, it’ll be much easier for the newspaper and magazine to be e-book, instead of printed out.
We just would realize that there would be nothing left in the store or at the gas stations, because it will all be electronically. It would hurt the newspaper’s profit. And I began to wonder if the crossover of this is that it would cost us some money to be able to read them online?
Also, it would be a bit different for us people, especially the teenagers when they like to read the cosmopolitian and seventeen. Some of the magazines includes posters, and if they do not publish it like it is now, would the teenagers print them off the internet, even the resolution is poor?
There’s some crossover that we all will face. PRofit to the business for posting them online?
