Print on Demand and Amazon Kindle

Print on demand (POD), sometimes called publish on demand, is a printing technology and business process in which new copies of a book (or other document) are not printed until an order has been received.” found from wikipiedia. It is something like the lulu website, where you can order your personalize book and have it printed. It gives you variety kind of size, binding, and such and give you the quality of expectation. So that you could get it quickly, you can even pick it up. Just like what we did for our personalize book. We had to create a book on one topic and have it published by www.lulu.com it gives us the demand of needs on getting the book published.

Amazon Kindle from wikipedia defines “Amazon Kindle is an e-book reader—an embedded system for reading electronic books (e-books)—launched in the United States by prominent online bookseller Amazon.com in November 2007.” I guess it’s more easier for the people who’s flying or on a business trip read e-book online.

The comparison between Amazon Kindle and Print on Demand gives you a different view. Amazon Kindle just basically save you the money on ordering some certain of books and allows you to read them online. Print on Demand just use machine to create a book in variety of quality.

Amazon Kindle would make things much easier and a lot cheaper than Print on Demand.
